Please join us for Arts Ed Matters Launch Party & Silent Auction, a kick-off fundraiser. This one night event, including a silent auction
featuring the work of local artists, live music and DJ’s, and local designers,
is a launch for Arts Ed Matters, a new San Francisco based arts education
advocacy group.
Arts Ed Matters is committed to strengthening the presence
of the arts in public education. Proceeds from this event will help us move
forward with the most pressing needs of this new initiative, including
launching our website and jumpstarting our programming and outreach.

Ed Matters is committed to advocating for a strong presence of the arts in
public education. We believe that early exposure to visual and performing arts
curriculum fosters a more complete process of learning, helps to build healthy and
vibrant communities, and prepares students to enter an ever-changing global
landscape. Access to the arts is unequal and insufficient, and our public
schools’ curriculum continues to grow more and more narrow in scope. To address
this issue, we will advocate for the arts through fostering community dialogue,
instilling a sense of urgency, reaching out to local politicians, and
empowering parents as activists.
